Germany Has 24 Productions, Co-Productions in Toronto International Film Festival

Germany will have a strong presence in this year’s Toronto International Film Festival which attract film lovers and industry professionals to Toronto as the largest North American film festival kicks off on September 5th and will run until September 15th.

Throughout the event 278 films will be screened which include 24 German productions and co-productions.

Here are some of the films, according to German Films DE:

Highlights

  •  EDGE OF NIGHT (MFP) will have its North American premiere in the Centrepiece section, the debut of Writer-director Türker Süer
  • HAPPY HOLIDAYS (Red Balloon Film) by the Oscar-nominated Palestinian director Scandar Copti
  • Ali Samadi Ahadi world premier SEVEN DAYS (brave new work)
  • Mohammad Rasoulof’s THE SEED OF THE SACRED FIG (Run Way Pictures)
  • SAD JOKES (Postofilm) by writer-director-actor Fabian Stumm
  • THE SUNSET SPECIAL 2 (Short Cuts) from filmmaker Nicolas Gebbe
  • German director Edward Berger’s new film CONCLAVE in the section of Special Presentations
  •  German actor Daniel Brühl (GOOD BYE, LENIN!) can be seen in EDEN by Ron Howard
