Berlin’s “Rave the Planet’ techno parade was a smash hit with people, as more than 200,000 people gathered for the techno parade near iconic landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column, according to DW.
The event featured artists such as Westbam, Catz ’n Dogz, Cherry a.k.a. BreakNtune, Hanna von Beeskov, Hardy Hard, K-Paul, Tomcraft, Alex Stein, Basstronauten, Felix Kröcher, Isabelle Beaucamp, Paula Cazenave, Simina Grigoriu and Dr. Motte.
Rave the Planet, a party which is registered with authorities as a demonstration, calls on attendees to stand up and unite for peace, love and to defend electronic music culture, such as techno which was front and center.
According to the official website: “The Rave The Planet Parade is a cultural-political demonstration. We demonstrate for peace, the protection and preservation of electronic music culture and the recognition of its cultural and social achievements.”
